7 Simple Secrets To Totally Enjoying Your Robots That Vacuum And Mop
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only issue I have found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice addition that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available and comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
robot vacuum cleaner are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
